Structured Programming
Selection:
- its is a program which uses statements, commonly used are If, Then, Else, that can be used to make a a program work. In my program i used If, then and, else statement that if you choose a number ranging from 1 to 10 then it will show the corresponding output.
Sequence:
- it is composed of listed instructions that enables it to run consecutively. In my program you must input 2 numbers, then click the command button to sum up the given numbers.
Private Sub Command1_Click()
‘To add the values in text box 1 and text box 2Sum = Val(Text1.Text) + Val(Text2.Text)‘To display the answer on label 1Label1.Caption = Sum
End Sub

Programming Practices
* Programming Readability
-use meaningful identifiers:
txtNumber, lblResult
-Logic Structure:
- in my program i used the
*If,Then,Else Statement:
If txtNumber.Text = 9 Then
lblResult.Caption = "Enemy!"
Else
If txtNumber.Text = 10 Then
lblResult.Caption = "Forever!"
end if
-Coding Practice:
Private Sub cmdPredict_Click()
If txtNumber.Text = 1 Then
lblResult.Caption = "BestFriend!"
Else
If txtNumber.Text = 2 Then
lblResult.Caption = "Special Friend!"
end if
-Notes and Comments
in this program it doesn't have a Comment on its code.
*Program Documentation
-Program Listing
I used txtNumber for my text box where you will input a number.
I used lblResult for my label box where the results would be shown.
I used cmdPredict for my command button that would serve the switch to activate or run the program.
-Program Specification
for this program I used Visual Basic 6.0, and this program shows the prediction on which number you have chosen.
-File Layouts and Record Description
-none
-Operating Instructions
My program uses a text box where you would choose a number ranging from 1 up to 10, then a label box that shows the prediction on your chosen number.

Characteristics of Programming Languages
Browsers:
* Mozilla Firefox
* Internet Explorer (IE)
* Google Chrome
* Opera
I Format and Protocol
Mozilla - When accessing a web page on Mozilla it is really fast and very reliable, and it also provides easy access to other tabs, and in entering a site its just fine if it doesn't have www..
Internet Explorer - In using it in entering site you have to put the complete domain name, including the www., for without it your search will become very slow, and in the process it has a slow speed rate.
Google Chrome - Its also a fast web browser and has the ability when opening a tab it shows same recent samples that you had already been in, and when entering a site it can enter even without a complete domain or without www.
Opera - It is very customizable which means it can be accessed on your smart phone, computer, laptop, etc. and when using it, it can be syncronized, like if you have a unfinished work or search on your profile, then you can also access it on another device with the same settings.
II Power
Mozilla Firefox - Its is one of the faster browsers ever used in our time, and when accessing web sites youcan easily open then.
Internet Explorer - Its very slow capared to the others, because of its security features which checks for any viruses, any malware, spyware, etc.
Google Chrome - Its also one of the fastest, just like Mozilla it can open sites, tabs, links, faster.
Opera - I can say that opera is also one of the fastest web browsing applications ever used, and to add to that it can also be accessed to other devices with the same outcome.
III Performance
Mozilla Firefox - It has an easy access to sites which make the performance on surveys 9/10, which makes it the most voted, and its easy access on new tabs is very useful and also with restoring lost pages.
Internet Explorer - Its has a slow performance which makes browsing slower than Mozilla or Google chrome, but its great with restoring lost pages.
Google Chrome - Has a very good performance rating that includes easy access, easy tool use, tab recovery, and easy access to new tabs.
IV Platform Independence
Mozilla Firefox - Mozilla is not only compatible with one but also on other, and it has various and different types of additional tools that can be implemented on Mozilla.
Internet Explorer -IE is a built in web browser which means its already included, so its not necessary to download any IE, just the updates that makes this browser more accessible, and IE can only be in only one OS and that is windows.
Google Chrome - Its is also compatible on other OS not just only on one, and it has also Add-on's for more easy progress.
V Safety
Mozilla Firefox - Its also very protective, that it secures all files that they don't have any infections or any unwanted malware that can cause problems.
Internet Explorer - Its safety is very good, because it searches the sites thoroughly that it makes sure that no viruses can enter.
Google Chrome -Its has the ability to warn you if your about to visit a suspected phishing, malware or any other unsafe sites.
Conclusion
- For me all browsers are good to use, they are reliable, fast, safe, and also can be portable, that it can help us in being better on using the internet, it just depends on who uses them and how they would help them be more productive.

"Programming Languages"
5 Programming Languages
*Alice (programming language)
-Alice ML is a functional programming language designed by the Programming Systems Lab at Saarland University. It is a dialect of Standard ML, augmented with support for lazy evaluation, concurrencymultithreading and distributed computing via remote procedure calls) and constraint programming. The Alice implementation from Saarland University uses the SEAM (Simple Extensible Abstract Machine) virtual machine. It is free software, and features just-in-time compilation to bytecode as well as native code for the x86 architecture. Early versions of Alice ran on the Mozart/Oz VM, allowing interfacing between Alice and Oz code.
*Draco (programming language)
-Draco was a shareware programming language for CP/M and the Amiga, created by Chris Gray in the early 1980s, and discontinued sometime around 1990. Draco, a blend of Pascal, C and ALGOL 68, was a strongly typed language most notable for its ability to produce small, optimized executables, and for the compiler's ability to work in very limited memory spaces. Gray himself used Draco for the Amiga to create a port of Peter Langston's Empire game, called Amiga Empire. There is a freeware Draco-to-C converter available at Aminet. Also, the source code of Draco (which is itself written in Draco) is now also available at Aminet.
*Einstein (programming language)
-Einstein is an open source fourth generation programming language (4GL) written on top of the Deesel 3GL programming language. It is a flow based programming language supporting message based constructs such as: read/write/route/join/split.All data in Einstein takes the form of a message. A message contains a payload and associated metadata which relates to such concerns as routing, security and so on. The payload takes the form of a DataObject, DataObject’s are a means to interact with payloads without knowing the nature of the data in the payload. So one may query, join, split, etc a payload without knowing whether it is XML or an object graph.
*Ivy Programming Language
-The Ivy programming language has been announced. It is an extensible, late-binding, bytecode-interpreted scripting language. Ivy includes support for closures, lambda functions, named argument passing, default arguments, garbage collection, C-like operators, built-in string slicing, plus other features.
*Mythryl
-Mythryl is a general-purpose, modular, functional programming language with compile-time type checking and type inference supporting both scripting and application development. Mythryl is self-hosting, that is to say the Mythryl compiler is written in Mythryl.
Mythryl is derived from SML/NJ, a compiler and programming environment for Standard ML. It differs in that SML/NJ is a platform-neutral research testbed with an idiosyncratic syntax derived from Robin Milner's work with the logic framework LF, whereas Mythryl is a Linux-centric production-oriented software development platform with a C-like syntax.
Compare two Programming Languages
*Alice VS Draco*
Alice is a freeware object-oriented educational programming language with an integrated development environment (IDE). Later versions are implemented in Java. Alice uses a drag and drop environment to create computer animations using 3D models. The software was developed first at University of Virginia, then Carnegie Mellon (from 1997), by a research group led by the late Randy Pausch. Alice was developed to address three core problems in educational programming while Draco, a blend of Pascal, C and ALGOL 68, was a strongly typed language most notable for its ability to produce small, optimized executables, and for the compiler's ability to work in very limited memory spaces. Gray himself used Draco for the Amiga to create a port of Peter Langston's Empire game, called Amiga Empire.
Examples:
*Einstein
resource "time(schedule=cron):0/10 * * * * ?" everyTenSeconds;
resource "time(schedule=cron):0/1 * * * * ?" everySecond;
resource "stack:TimeStack" stack; (<< "time:yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSSZ" ) >> "std:The time according to Einstein is ";
listen everyTenSeconds "bool:true" (read all stack >> "std:");listen everySecond "bool:true" (write stack); *Mythryl
#!/usr/bin/mythryl
for (i = 0; i < 10; ++i) {
printf "%d\n" i;
}; #!/usr/bin/mythryl
foreach (dir_tree::files ".") .{ if (#file =~ ./\\.[ch]$/) printf "%s\n" #file; fi; }; fun factorial( n ) = {
if (n == 0) 1;
else n*factorial( n-1 );

My Assignment
"Specific Task"
-in this case i used html, because it is much easier to use and you can do alot with it.
-and i used photoshop and paint for editing photos and resizing them., and in finding photos i wnt to "Deviantart.com", you can see lots of pictures there.
-for this purpose i used HTML, photoshop and paint.
"End user benefits"
IVR-based applications bring together a range of benefits guaranteeing high acceptance by users:
*Voice is a natural way of communicating which is why there is hardly any familiarization phase or learning requirements in a voice-based application.
*The largest possible user group can be achieved thanks to the high penetration of fixed networks and mobile phones. Mobile phones increase availability because they are not location-dependent.
*The system requires no additional input facilities so is easy to use, even when driving.
"Alternative languages"
*Visual Basic - Probably one of the most popular programming languages ever developed. Controlled by Microsoft. Now semi retired, since Microsoft is putting all it's efforts into the .Net platform.
*Python - is one of the more powerful languages that you can use. It has numerous features that make your life as a programmer a lot easier, and is often reported to make you more than ten times as productive compared to C++.
