"End user benefits"
IVR-based applications bring together a range of benefits guaranteeing high acceptance by users:
*Voice is a natural way of communicating which is why there is hardly any familiarization phase or learning requirements in a voice-based application.
*The largest possible user group can be achieved thanks to the high penetration of fixed networks and mobile phones. Mobile phones increase availability because they are not location-dependent.
*The system requires no additional input facilities so is easy to use, even when driving.
"Alternative languages"
*Visual Basic - Probably one of the most popular programming languages ever developed. Controlled by Microsoft. Now semi retired, since Microsoft is putting all it's efforts into the .Net platform.
*Python - is one of the more powerful languages that you can use. It has numerous features that make your life as a programmer a lot easier, and is often reported to make you more than ten times as productive compared to C++.
